Oxford CC's development team defeated Long Wittenham in the 2nd round of the Oxfordshire Women's Midweek League on Tue 9th June.
Batting first, Oxford made 86-3 from their 16 overs, featuring a chanceless innings from Jess Pagan (25* retired) and a quickfire 15 from Alex Mitchell. Wittenham's reply was led by Sarah Bishop (24) but after she was bowled by Rox Clayton the required run rate got too high for the visitors.

The Women's Midlands League match due to be played on 2nd June was conceded by the opposition (Mansfield & Pleasley). Oxford gained maximum points from the fixture and now lie third in the league table, behind Lutterworth and Clifton.

As the ECB Women's Midlands League took an early-season break to make way for County weekends, attention switched to the opening round of the new Oxfordshire Women's Midweek League.
