About Womens Cricket

Welcome to Oxford Women's Cricket!

You have come to the right place!

We are the largest women's section in Oxfordshire, including all levels of player from beginners to county standard, and everyone in between. We are a friendly and sociable group, who really work hard at getting the balance right between having fun and training to win.

Our outdoor training runs from from 11th April 2013 to early September on Thursday nights 6:25pm - 8:15pm at Rover sports ground on Roman Way, Oxford, behind the BMW factory. Come on down any Thursday and meet the team.

We are proud to have a Women's 1st XI who were promoted in 2010 and who play in Division 1 East of the Women's Midlands League. For beginners and newer players, we run a development team with friendly midweek games throughout the season.  Both teams train together and learn from each other, and there are opportunities all the time to develop and improve your game.

We are coached by two experienced cricketers both with ECB level 2 qualifications. We also offer the chance for our players to take coaching qualifications, and currently boast a number of level 1 coaches in the team!

If you are looking to play senior level women's cricket, look no further, as we welcome new players all the time:

  • Beginners.
  • Players who have not played in a while.
  • Under 15 and under 17 players who want to play at senior level.
  • Experienced players.
  • University players looking for more coaching.
  • If you are aged 6-13, you should start out with our girls-only and mixed youth sessions unless you are already experienced enough to be playing to a good County under 13 standard.

If you want to play cricket - we'll get you playing cricket!
