Joining the Club

Having arrived at this page we assume that you may be interested in joining the Club. We are biased of course, but you couldn't make a better choice. Whatever your needs are, the answer is Oxford Cricket Club.

I'm a young and promising Cricketer starting University at Oxford and I want to play a good standard of League Cricket at the weekends - you will not find a better standard of Cricket, our 1st XI play in the Home Counties Premier League, the highest standard a Club can achieve. Our 2nd XI play in the Cherwell League Division 2.

I'm an enthusiastic Cricketer looking for a Club that can offer me an opportunity to improve - you will not find a Club with so many qualified Coaches. At the last count we had 17 Coaches qualified at level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. We also have 4 teams playing League cricket each weekend. So there is an opportunity for everyone to find their level.

I'm a parent with a young son and daughter who want to play Cricket, can you offer anything in this area? - you will not find a more enthusiastic group of young people than our Youth Section, managed by Rosalyn Porter, who is also the Club Welfare Officer. We run 5 Youth teams and 2 Girls teams. Our Director of Youth Coaching - Philip Evans, ensures that all young people gain access to qualified Coaches working to detailed coaching plans. Oxford Cricket Club is working towards Clubmark, has fully implemented the ECB Child Protection Policy "Safe Hands - welfare of Young People in Cricket policy" and is the Club to join.

I'm looking to play Women's cricket can you help? - Of course, we have an enthusiastic Women's team that contains County Players and Internationals, as well as those that are less experienced.
