World Cup Winning Captain Comes to Oxford CC

Released on 30 March 2009

Oxford CC are delighted to have England Women's World Cup Winning Captain Charlotte Edwards to undertake coaching at the club for a six week period in April and May.

Charlotte, Captain of the England Women's team that won the world cup by beating New Zealand last weekend will be undertaking coaching for girls at Oxford CC in April and May as part of the clubs 'Chance to Shine' project and Oxford CC's status as a hub club for the development of girls and women's cricket in Oxfordshire.

Oxford CC are delighted that Charlotte will help us kick start this initiative as the development of girls and women's cricket will further help what is already the largest cricket club in Oxfordshire, as a centre for cricket excellence and participation at all levels.

Any girls interested in coming along to coaching should contact Fitty Parker on either 07954 165841 or alternatively email Fitty at fitty.parker@ntlworld.com
