OCC launched a Youth Academy in 2023, with the goal of bringing extra training and support to some players from our Boys’ section who do not have the opportunity to play regular cricket at school in order to aid their transition to senior cricket.

Following the success of the Academy, we subsequently introduced a Girls’ Academy, aimed to help players from outside of the County age group setup make the transition from softball to hardball cricket.

These sessions take place at our Jordan Hill ground before the season starts and are led by ECB-qualified and experienced coaches who are passionate about improving access to cricket for all.

Selected players will be invited to join the academy at the start of each season.
